Grow a Garden — Beginner's Guide
Everything you need to know to start, progress fast and avoid mistakes in 2026.
Start with Common seeds (Carrot, Strawberry) to build early coins. Your first major goal is saving for a Fox or Bunny pet and Watermelon seeds. Once you reach Rare seeds and a good pet your income increases dramatically.
Your First Hour — Checklist
Understanding the Core Mechanics
The Seed Shop
Seeds are purchased from the seed shop using in-game coins. Seeds are organized by rarity — Common seeds are cheap and accessible, Rare and Legendary seeds are expensive but worth saving for.
Garden Plots
Your garden has multiple plots where you plant seeds. Each plot can hold one seed at a time. More plots means more simultaneous crops which means more coins per time period.
Grow Time
Every seed has a grow time before you can harvest. Common seeds like Carrot take 2 minutes. Legendary seeds like Dragon Fruit take 45 minutes. Plan your farming sessions around grow times.
Harvesting
When a crop is ready you harvest it by clicking or interacting with it. At this point there is a random chance a mutation will be applied. Then you sell the crop at the selling station.
The Mutation System
Mutations randomly apply to crops at harvest and multiply their value. Golden = 2x, Giant = 2.5x, Crystal = 4x, Rainbow = 5x, Volcanic = 8x, Celestial = 10x. Mutations are what transforms farming income.
Weather Events
Weather events change mutation rates for your garden. Rain boosts Rainbow chance, Snow boosts Frozen chance, Volcanic events enable Volcanic mutations. Always plant before a weather event starts.
The Pet System
Pets provide passive bonuses to your farm. Equip one pet at a time to receive its benefit. Higher rarity pets have stronger and more useful abilities. Your first major purchase should be a pet.
Trading
Players can trade crops, seeds and pets with each other. Rare mutated crops like Rainbow Dragon Fruit have significant trading value. Check our values page before making any trade.
Progression Roadmap
Early Game (0-1 hour)
Build your first stable coin income
Plant carrots in every empty plot — fast grow time = more harvests per hour
Sell everything immediately — do not hold crops hoping for better prices
Focus on filling all garden plots before worrying about mutations
Check for weather events — even with common seeds a mutation helps
Mid Game (1-5 hours)
Unlock Uncommon seeds and first real pet
Save coins for Watermelon seeds — the jump in value is significant
Prioritize getting a Fox or Bunny pet — both make a noticeable difference
Start paying attention to weather events — plant Uncommon seeds before rain
Learn mutation names — Golden (2x) and Rainbow (5x) are your targets
Late Mid Game (5-15 hours)
Reach Rare seeds and improve pets
Rare seeds are the first point where mutations truly transform your income
A Rainbow Grape (600 coins) requires real strategy to trigger — use rain events
Dragon pet starts paying off here — volcanic mutations on Rare seeds are huge
Consider trading lower value items for better pets — check trade values first
End Game (15+ hours)
Legendary seeds and S-tier pets
Dragon Fruit + Unicorn is the endgame setup — Rainbow Dragon Fruit consistently
Moon Flower is prestige — only available via events or trading
Phoenix pet free regrow on Legendaries is extremely powerful once accessible
Focus on trading now — a Rainbow Dragon Fruit can be traded for significant items
Beginner Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Selling mutated crops without checking trade value
Mutated Legendary crops can be worth far more in trades than their base sell price.
❌ Ignoring weather events
Weather events are the most powerful way to get rare mutations. Never waste them by having empty plots or low-value seeds planted.
❌ Buying pets before better seeds
A mediocre seed with a good pet earns less than a great seed with no pet. Upgrade seeds first then invest in pets.
❌ Harvesting immediately after planting
Wait for weather events before harvesting if you planted high-value seeds. The mutation bonus from rain or volcanic events is worth a few extra minutes of waiting.
❌ Only planting one seed type
Diversify your plots with different grow times. Fast seeds like Carrot fill time between longer Rare seed cycles.

ngl the rain event is literally the best time to farm. had 3 rainbow watermelons in one session bc i planted right before it started. never skip rain
if ur early game just spam carrots and strawberries until u can afford a fox pet. the coin bonus makes saving for rare seeds way faster
Rainbow Dragon Fruit with a Unicorn pet active = best money in the game. takes a while to set up but once u get there the grind gets easy
volcanic event tip: have AT LEAST legendary crops planted before it triggers. volcanic mutation on a moon flower is insane value
dont sell rainbow crops straight away. check trades first. sometimes another player will trade a mythical seed for one good rainbow legendary
bunny + fertilizer combo lowkey carries early-mid game. grow time goes down and mutation chance goes up at the same time
